Terms & Conditions / Participant Waiver

By registering for the UniSC Try Rowing Day, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Participation

I understand that rowing is a physical activity conducted on and around water and that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, immersion in water, collisions, equipment failure, weather conditions and physical injury.

I voluntarily choose to participate in this event and accept these inherent risks.

Fitness to Participate

I confirm that I am medically fit to participate in moderate physical activity and that I have disclosed any medical condition or injury that may affect my participation during registration.

I agree to advise event organisers immediately if I become unwell or injured before or during the event.

Swimming Ability

I confirm that I am able to swim at least 50 metres and am comfortable participating in activities conducted on and around the water.

Safety

I agree to follow all instructions given by coaches, coxswains and event volunteers.

I understand that failure to follow safety instructions may result in my participation being ended without refund.

Medical Assistance

If I become ill or injured during the event, I authorise Maroochy River Rowing Club volunteers to administer basic first aid and, where necessary, arrange emergency medical treatment on my behalf.

Photography

I understand that photographs and video may be taken during the event and grant Maroochy River Rowing Club, UniSC and their representatives permission to use these images for promotional, educational and marketing purposes without compensation.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, I acknowledge that Maroochy River Rowing Club, its volunteers, coaches, officials, sponsors and affiliates are not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from my participation, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.

Privacy

I consent to Maroochy River Rowing Club collecting and using my personal information for the administration of this event and for contacting me regarding future rowing programs and events. My information will not be sold or provided to unrelated third parties.

Acceptance

By completing my registration and payment, I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that my online registration constitutes my acceptance of them.
