Catch Queens Squad
The Catch Queens are Maroochy River Rowing Club’s junior girls squad — a vibrant, energetic group taking their first steps into the world of rowing.
Focused on building strong foundations, this squad is all about mastering the basics, developing great habits early, and fostering a love of training, teamwork, and racing. It’s where young athletes learn the essentials of technique, fitness, and boat skills — all while having a blast with their crew.
Program Structure:

On-Water Training: 2–3 sessions per week, focusing on rowing technique, timing, balance, and building confidence in different boats.

Off-Water Training: 1–2 sessions per week, with fun fitness sessions designed to build strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Competition Focus: Introductory regattas, school events, and club mini-competitions to build race experience and team spirit.
