River Cruisers Squad
The River Cruisers, coached by Paul Davidson, offer a unique opportunity for rowers from across Maroochy River Rowing Club — including the Rockover River Riders, Catch Queens, and Bow Ballers — to come together, row as one club, and build strong team bonds on and off the water.
This squad focuses on developing good habits, solid technique, and a love of rowing in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you're just finding your rhythm or refining your skills, the River Cruisers is where athletes unite, grow, and enjoy being part of something bigger than their individual squads.
Program Structure:

On-Water Training: every Monday afternoon, complementing the squads' other sessions each week, focusing on technique, teamwork, timing, and building consistent boat movement across mixed crews, and opportunities to get into the bigger boats

Off-Water Training: Optional fitness sessions to enhance strength, endurance, and overall rowing performance.

Competition Focus: Club regattas, local races, and friendly match-ups designed to strengthen racing skills and club spirit.
